Founded in January 2014, Pelican Drones was built on a passion for aerial imagery and a commitment to raising the standard of visual content along the Gulf Coast. At a time when drone technology was just beginning to reshape industries, our CEO, Chris Tonn, became one of the first licensed drone pilots on the Gulf Coast, helping introduce a new level of innovation, professionalism, and aerial production capabilities to a rapidly growing industry.
What began as a dedicated drone services company steadily evolved as the needs of our clients expanded. Businesses were no longer looking for only aerial footage, they needed professional photography, video production, inspections, mapping services, immersive media, marketing content, and reliable data collection solutions. We listened, adapted, and continued to grow alongside the industries we serve. Today, Pelican Drones provides a wide range of commercial drone services and creative production solutions designed to support businesses with reliable technology, thoughtful execution, and attention to detail.
Our roots remain proudly planted along the Gulf Coast, where we built long-standing client relationships and established the foundation of our company. Over time, that foundation carried us far beyond the shoreline. With more than 20 years of combined team experience and projects completed across more than 13 states, we now support clients throughout the United States, delivering the same consistency, professionalism, and high-quality service wherever we operate.
